I first made rope in highschool when I was weaving a significant amount. It still captures my attention today - sparks a magical delight even - and the process is suitable to all kinds of materials. Metal, fiber, plastic, and paper all work.

While at times I've used a drill to twist material, this bangle has a hand twisted 4-ply rope made from vintage fiber & silver metal ribbon (most likely 1920's-1940's).
