From the van and other homes away from home, I handknit a chord necklace. It's elegant and streamlined. The hand of the knitted flat paper yarn has a life of its own and yet can be coaxed and influenced; it will soften in time. With no clasp, the necklace can be worn long, doubled, or for some even tripled.

Made from a black 100% linen Japanese “paper” yarn that has a very thin coating of viscose sizing, this knit chord has beautiful depth and light absorption. From time to time, tiny sparkles (single delicate constellation links with 24k gold plated beads) accentuate the vastness of black.
