Each Sunday morning in San Francisco after teaching yoga, I’d head to the Clement Street Farmers Market. In Portland it shifted to Saturday mornings and continues here on the Oregon coast. Going to a farmers market has been a consistent routine in my schedule and one that in recent years I’ve joyfully shared with my children. They know Saturday morning means heading to the market.

At one market this summer, my kids sat down at a school’s booth and beaded. My daughter had the idea to make a bracelet for both me and her and to have them connected so that we could wear them together, stay close. Coming from a sweet place, her design had a palpable pureness.

What I’ve made this month is inspired by her bracelet(s). While you can opt to share the piece with someone else, wearing it and staying close, it’s made in a way that you can wrap it around for a full bracelet look, or put it around your neck threading one loop through the other.
